Flat Mate

We have a flatmate for the next couple of weeks. Kun, came to stay with us Saturday night. Something has happened, so whilst that is getting sorted, he is staying with us. He normally lives in Brisbane, his sister is studying at QUT & I think that she might move in with him at some stage. Kun actually works on the Gold Coast, so for the time being, he’s nice and close to work.

Last night Geoff cooked chops with sweet potato mash & corn on the cob. Tonight Kun is cooking a Chinese dish for us, which should be cool. Tomorrow is my turn, but I have a job in Brisbane tomorrow afternoon & won’t finish until sometime after 5, & then I still have to travel back to the coast - I am hoping that maybe Geoff will have dinner ready when I get home. :) I will probably end up cooking Thursday or Friday if that is the case.

I am not sure if I will go to my job in Brisbane tomorrow by train or car - train will be cheaper, but I won’t cope if I don’t get a seat. They really need to have more trains running during peak times or add more carriages.  The agency I am working for will cover parking costs, but not train fare or any other travel costs. In the end I will probably catch the train & hope for the best, at least it means that I won’t be stuck in traffic (from the centre of the city) for hours.

It’s funny actually - lots of agencies will pay travel, but not if it is within a metropolitan area. Even though I am travelling from the Gold Coast, because I am going to Brisbane, travel is not paid. Which is why I don’t tend to do a lot of jobs in Brisbane, they have to be a few hours in length or I need to specifically requested.
